A pack of four AA 2100 Ah fully charged batteries (tested with a multimeter) were attached to fonera A. Fonera A was connected to Fonera B through an ad-hoc link. Fonera A has generated traffic directed to fonera B using single-threaded iperf:
iperf -c 172.16.32.4 -p 5003 -i 2 -f M -t 21600
(of course there was an iperf server listening on fonera B).

The battery pack lasted for about 57 minutes (the CPU consumption from the iperf process on fonera A was of about 80%).
